The BLS Providers course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages, including providing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device with oxygen, and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. Intended for licensed and non-licensed healthcare professionals.  Course Length:  3.5-4 hours

The Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Online Course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages, including providing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device with oxygen, and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. Intended for licensed and non-licensed healthcare professionals.  The course completion card for the online course is identical to the card for the classroom course.

  1.  Manikin practice and skills testing (15 - 20 minutes)  This session normally begins 30-minutes prior to one of our classroom-based courses--May be scheduled now or you may call to schedule after completing the course.

  • YOU MUST HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED THE ONLINE BLS COURSE  PART 1
  • This is an American Heart Association course
  • You will receive your CPR card via email using the AHA eCard system the same day as your course
  • Your CPR card will be identical to the classroom-based CPR card with no mention of being a blended "online" course.

Prerequisites To Taking The CPR Instructor Course

  • Be at least 18 years of age or older.

  • Be a currently working in Healthcare. 

  • Hold a current AHA BLS certification. If you are not currently certified in BLS and meet the above prerequisites, you can register for one of our BLS classes (Prior to registering for this class
 
The American Heart Association BLS Instructor Course certifies the participant to teach the BLS for Healthcare Provider (BLS) Course, renewal course, and BLS Skill Sessions.  In addition, instructors may teach all the AHA Heartsaver programs including: adult CPR, child CPR, infant CPR, AED use, first aid, pediatric CPR/first aid, and bloodborne pathogens.  
  • This course includes the Instructor manuals and student manuals 
  • Instructor Essentials (Pre course) 
  • BLS Provider USB video
 
BLS Instructor certification is valid for a period of two (2) years (Upon completing the mointor session ) 
 
  • Interview with (Revive A Life 1, LLC)  before enrolling in an Instructor Course and have a completed Instructor Candidate Application
  • The BLS instructor course is a 3-part course:

    • Complete an online portion (BLS Instructor Essentials)

    • Classroom Course - The classroom portion covers American Heart Association procedures, course guidelines and agendas, instructor challenges, classroom set-up, learning theory, administrative support, and instructor-candidate teaching demonstrations. 

    • Be monitored teaching a class (to be completed in-person - Date will be scheduled )

     
 
NOTE:  Students must hold a current BLS for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association to be eligible to take this course.  Proof of the certification should be emailed to revivealife1@gmail.com
 
The course fee does NOT include materials needed to teach your first class (BLS Provider DVD, manikins, AED trainers, BVMs, and associated student supplies).  You may choose to purchase these supplies from us for an additional fee.
