The BLS Providers course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages, including providing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device with oxygen, and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. Intended for licensed and non-licensed healthcare professionals.  Course Length:  3.5-4 hours

The Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Online Course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages, including providing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device with oxygen, and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. Intended for licensed and non-licensed healthcare professionals.  The course completion card for the online course is identical to the card for the classroom course.

  1.  Manikin practice and skills testing (15 - 20 minutes)  This session normally begins 30-minutes prior to one of our classroom-based courses--May be scheduled now or you may call to schedule after completing the course.

  • YOU MUST HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED THE ONLINE BLS COURSE  PART 1
  • This is an American Heart Association course
  • You will receive your CPR card via email using the AHA eCard system the same day as your course
  • Your CPR card will be identical to the classroom-based CPR card with no mention of being a blended "online" course.

The Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course is designed to meet the training needs of child care providers in almost all U.S states while also being a comprehensive resource for parents, grandparents, teachers, babysitters or anyone responsible for the safety of children. 
 
What will students learn in this course? 
• List the duties, roles, and responsibilities of a first aid rescuer 
• Describe the 4 key steps in pediatric first aid: prevent, protect, assess, and act 
• Remove protective gloves (skill students will demonstrate) 
• Find the problem (skill students will demonstrate) 
• Describe the assessment and first aid actions for the following life-threatening conditions: difficulty breathing, choking, severe bleeding, and shock 
• Control bleeding and bandaging (skills students will demonstrate) 
• Use an epinephrine pen (skill students will demonstrate)
• Recognize elements of common illnesses and injuries 
• Describe how to find information on preventing illness and injury 
• Describe the risks of smoking and vaping and the benefits of a healthy lifestyle
• Describe how high-quality CPR improves survival 
• Explain the concepts of the Chain of Survival 
• Recognize when someone needs CPR
• Perform high-quality CPR for all age groups 
• Describe how to perform CPR with help from others 
• Give effective breaths by using mouth-to-mouth or a mask for all age group

 The BLS Online CPR Class Covers:

  • Adult, Child, and Infant CPR
  • Conscious and Unconscious Choking for victims of all ages
  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use and special considerations
  • Breathing Barriers, Bag Valve Masks, and 2 Rescuer CPR
  • Cardiopulmonary Emergencies and Special Resuscitation Situations

This Class Has 3 Parts:

Part 1 - A self-paced series of online training modules (30 minutes - 2 hours in length)
Part 2 - Skills practice at our facility (15 - 30 minutes)
Part 3 - Skills test at our facility (15 - 30 minutes)
